Noah and I were sitting together on the couch. Daniel decided he wanted to be a part of the fun and climbed on top of us. Usually, Noah would push Daniel away. Today, Noah looked at Daniel and said, "You're my best friend, Daniel." All day Noah kept asking Daniel to play. For the most part, Daniel went along. He had his "Beast" moments and just had to crash Noah's line of trains or animals. It was too sweet to hear Noah tell his brother he was his best friend.
Noah is also gaining more independence. "I can do it by myself" is a new phrase of his. I like it, and yet I miss being needed. (Even though I complain about being needed too much!) Time is moving so fast. My little boy is slipping away and growing into a little man.
I have to share a few more Daniel-isms. Besides "milk," Daniel's favorite word is "OK." He says it with a sigh. I will say no movie today. Then you will hear a big sigh and a loud, drawn-out OK. He says it for everything. Daniel's favorite question is, "where are we going?" He asks it if I put my shoes on when I get dressed or when I open the door for air or whenever he feels like asking it.
Jodi is simply Jodi. She had to be in the room where the boys were playing today and would get quite upset when they left, but would be absolutely happy when they returned. Bath time is so much easier now that she can sit on her own. It won't be long before she is chasing the boys down the hall and taking their toys away from them.
