A Modge Podge of Happenings

Ok- first an update on the invalids. I am finally healed- yeah! All the aches from the fall are gone. Jodi is getting better too. Her pediatrician is sending her to a specialist to figure out why Jodi is always sick. When she gets sick it lasts forever and gets so severe. We are going to an allergist/asthma/antibody specialist. I hope they can find the answers we need.

Here are some funny updates with the other kids. I will start with Noah. These happenings with him are so fitting because of Valentine's Day. Noah is 100% a ladies man. ALL the girls in his class think the world of him. A few weeks ago Noah started talking a lot about Gabby- a girl in his Primary and Kindergarten class. I found a paper they were writing on in school. It was signed "Gabby Frier" and had "I luv yu" on it. I about died. I told Gabby's mom about it. Noah went to her house afterschool and had so much fun. Gabby's mom asked Gabby if Noah was her boyfriend. Gabby said "Mom I'm not allowed to have a boyfriend, but I just LOVE Noah. He is so sweet and nice and I just love him so much!" Then, Kylie's mom stopped me after choir one day and had some stories to tell me too. Kylie and Noah are in the same Kindergarten class, but different Primary classes. Kylie told her mom that Noah was the nicest and smartest boy in school. "I just love Noah" again! They had a Valentine's Party at school. Kylie asked Noah to dance. Kylie's mom asked her how they danced and she said, "I put my hand on Noah's shoulder and he put his hand on my waist and we danced and it was just like Cinderella!" I can not believe what a lover-boy he is! It is so sweet! Ah, love is in the air!

Daniel was trying hard to get out of nap time, but after 2 weeks of him falling asleep at dinner, crying at the drop of a hat, and exaggerated acts of meaness, I reinstated naps. This time he gets money for every time he sleeps. He is saving up money for a souvenir for our trip to San Diego. We have a much happier home now. I will go broke if I have to in order to keep the peace and my sanity! Daniel is loving preschool and is now able to sit on the big carpet with the class for some of the time- although he really likes to just sit on his very own carpet. We also bought him a set of Tinker toys thinking it would help him with not being so bored. He really likes them and every day he is growing up and maturing a little bit more.

I had an eventful Sunday- one of the craziest. I had early morning choir practice at 7:30, church from 8-11, choir again at 11:30, drove to Phoenix at 12 for a flute choir practice and performance, got back to Mesa at 5, and had a Relief Society (Women's) fireside from 7-9, then got home just in time to catch the new Masterpiece Theatre adaptation of "Oliver Twist." It was such a long day, but Dustin was so awesome. He took care of the kids all day so I could perform with the flute choir and go to the fireside. I had a blast. I loved playing my flute with all the other professional flutists. It was fun making music for the old folks at the retirement place where we performed. The fireside was also good and just nice to be away and filling up my spiritual reserves.

We are celebrating Noah's birthday today and so will have many more stories to tell soon!
