Fun with the Grandparents!

We went to St. George and Las Vegas this weekend and spent as much time with my parents as we could. The kids don't get to see their grandparents very often- they live in CO- oh so far away. The trip to St. George was uneventful, a minor traffic outside of Colorado City (I thought I was being stopped because someone needed another wife- ha, ha, hee!) We spent Friday night in St. George. The kids got to see the temple all lit up and thougt it was so beautiful. We spent Saturday looking at the temple up close and at a park for a family reunion. I spent most of the time chasing kids, playing in the grass, etc. Not much socialization. Then we drove to Vegas, had a bite to eat, and got the kids in bed. We spent Sunday celebrating my dad's 65th birthday- wish we could have done more!! We had a good breakfast and then found a park where Grandpa could teach the kids how to fly kites. We had a great time until everyone started dying from allergies!!! A sad goodbye to my parents brought us on the long road over Hoover Dam to Kingman where we spent a few short hours with Grandma Joan- Dustin's mom. It was a long, late night before we made it home to Daddy. Dustin was happy to see us and the kids were happy to sleep in their own beds again. I wish we coudld have spent more time with Uncle Lief, and the grandparents. We sure miss our family so much!!!

I'm glad you had a great time. Fast trips are always a rush but long ones are always too long. I'm glad you got to see your family anyways!
